There are some recipes myboys will eat because Gramma makes them. This is one. I've modified it just a bit over the years. I like to double this and put it in a crock pot for parties. It also works very well with TVP or any other meat substitute. Several of our friends are vegetarians and they love it. Use cider vinegar for a good tang.
1 1/2 lb Ground beef
1 can Tomato soup
1/3 c Brown sugar
1 1/2 t Vinegar (cider is best)
1 Med onion diced small
1 t Worcestershire sauce
2 t Catsup
2 t Mustard
1/4 c Celery chopped small (optional)
Brown ground beef and drain any fat.
Mix in all remaining ingredients and simmer until hot and the mixture thickens slightly.
If you use TVP make sure to add water as per the packages recommendations.
