Italian Stuffed Mushrooms

Always a Favorite at parties and easy to make.

Ingredients

2 lb Mushrooms, stems removed

1 lb Sweet or mild Italian sausage, casing removed

1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup Grated Romano cheese

1/2 cup Panko breadcrumbs

1 tbsp Olive oil

1/2 Medium yellow onoin, diced

3 Garlic cloves, minced

1 tbsp Sage, chopped

1 tsp Oregano, dried

1 tsp Salt, to taste

1 tsp Pepper, freshly ground, to taste

Preparation

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

2. Warm a medium skillet on the range.

3. Prepare the Onion and Garlic.

3. Put olive oil in the skillet, when oil is ready add Onion and Garlic and saute until soft, (approx 5 min).

4. Prepare the rest of the ingredients (except the mushroooms) in a large mixing bowl, when ready add the Garlic and Onions and mix throughly.

5. Fill mushroom caps with filling and place on baking sheet.

6. Bake for 15 minutes, check largest one to make sure all pork is cooked (not pink). If not done return to oven untill cooked through.
