Easy Donuts - ram

My hubby loves these simple donuts.

Ingredients

1 can Biscuits

Canola oil

Sugar

Preparation

COVER bottom of medium pan, bowl, etc. with sugar.

POUR oil into skillet about 1/2 to 3/4 inch deep.

HEAT on medium.

SEPARATE biscuits then CUT into quarters.

DROP quarters into hot oil carefully - only up to about 4 or so at a time.

WATCH CAREFLULLY. TURN to brown both sides slighly; REMOVE from oil AND place in sugared pan. [Do Not Overcook.]

REPEAT until all quarters are done.

SERVE quickly - careful not to burn mouths.

ENJOY.

Cook's Notes

I just use the cheapest canned biscuits; keeping several cans on hand. As the oil gets hot, these donuts cook very quickly; be careful not to overcook. You can also try making different shapes such as twist with a whole biscuit un-quartered.

I've cooked these for years... thanks for posting. My Dad thinks its a sin for someone NOT to grow at least 1 tomato plant..... I think its a sin for anyone not to cook these 'doughnuts'. They are quick, easy and oh so good.
