| 1 | Beef brisket (5 -6 pounds) |
| 4 | Garlc cloves, pressed |
| 1 tsp | Salt |
| 1/4 tsp | Black pepper |
| 1 1/2 cups | Ketchup |
| 1/3 c | Cider vinegar |
| 1/4 cup | Brown sugar |
| 1/4 cup | Worcestershire sauce |
| 2 tbl | Yellow mustard |
| 2 | Large onions, sliced |
Preheat oven to 350F. Trim excess fat from brisket and place fat side up in 9 x 13 pan. Spread garlic, salt and pepper evenly over meat.
In small bowl combine ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Pour over brisket.
Slice onions and arrange over brisket. Cover pan with foil and bake for 2 hours and 30 minutes. After you remove it form the oven, let it stand for 10 minutes. Slice brisket thinly across the grain (the direction the meat fibers are running)
