Serbian Pork and Beef Casserole

Ingredients

1/8 c. Olive oil

1 lb. Ground beef

1/4 c. Bacon

4 Pork hocks

2 Onions, chopped

1/4 tsp. Salt

1/4 tsp. Pepper

14.5 oz. Sauerkraut

2 c. Uncooked short-grain white rice

4 c. Chicken broth

Preparation

1. preheat oven to 375 degrees

2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown ground beef, bacon, pork meat, and onions. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in sauerkraut and rice. Transfer contents to a casserole, and stir in chicken broth.

3. Bake, uncovered, in a preheated oven until rice is cooked, about 30 to 45 minutes. Check liquid level periodically; ad water if the casserole is drying out.
