The easiest and tastiest Bruschetta so far!

Ingredients

1 Loaf crusty Italian bread

5-6 Roma tomatoes, seeded & chopped

1/4 cup Fresh basil, finely chopped

1 tsp. Garlic powder

3 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil

Salt & pepper to taste

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400 degrees farenheit. Slice the entire loaf of bread and toast the bread in the oven. Turn bread once so both sides are nice and crispy. This takes about 4 - 5 minutes per side.

Put the next four ingredients into a medium size bowl and combine. Add salt and pepper to taste after you have tasted the bruschetta. Cover and store in refrigerator until you are ready to eat.

Serve with the warm, toasted bread.

Cook's Notes

This is also very good in the summertime if you add a splash of lemon or lime juice as well. Dried basil does not work in this recipe.
