delicious and fresh sauce to use on anything. Especially good on steak. Try it! You won't be sorry!
3 tbsp Red-wine vinegar
2 tbsp Water
4 cloves Garlic
1/2 Bay leaf
3/4 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Hot red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp. Coarsely ground black pepper
1/4 cup Olive oil
1/2 Fresh flat leaf parsley
add all ingredients except for bay leaf into a food process until ingredients are finely chopped but not smooth. add bay leaf to mixture once placed in jar or bowl. Let stand for 30 min. at room temperature. Discard bay leaf and stir sauce before serving. serve with your favorite meats and vegetables.
Chimichurri can be made up to 1 hour ahead and kept, covered, at room temperature. It also keeps well for several days, sealed in the fridge.
