Ingredients

2 tablespoons Butter or Margarine
2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
12-ounces Imitation crab, flaked
2 Large cloves Garlic, crushed
8-ounces Angel Hair Pasta Noodles
3/4 cup Heavy cream or milk
1/2 cup Dry White Cooking Wine
1 cup Peas
1/4 cup Chopped parsley
1/4 to 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
1/2 teaspoon Dried basil leaves
1/4 teaspoon Crushed Hot Red Pepper (optional)

Preparation

1. In a deep 4 quart saucepan over high heat, bring 2 quarts of water to a boil 8 to 10 minutes.

2. Meanwhile, in deep 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat, heat butter and oil, add imitation crab and garlic; cook at 6 minutes, stirring frequently until crab is thoroughly heated.

3. Using a slotted spoon, remove crab to bowl and keep warm.

4. Add angel hair pasta noodles to the boiling water and cook for 5 minutes stirring frequently until tender.

5. To skillet add rest of ingredients stirring occasionally until flavors are blended. Drain pasta, add to mixture on skillet along with cooked crab; stir until well mixed and heated through. Serve immediately, sprinkle with additional Parmesan.

Cook's Notes

A simpler version of this same recipe would be to mix the noodles, parmesan cheese, peas, and cooked crab. Both ways are great!
