Peppered Lemon Chicken Pasta

A delicious chicken and pasta meal that's quick & easy to make. Variation: Fresh, uncooked peeled shrimp can be substituted for the chicken.

Ingredients

8 ounces Spaghetti or linguine, uncooked weight, broken in half
1/4 cup Butter
1 lb Boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
3 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Ground red pepper (to taste)
1/4 teaspoon Fresh ground black pepper
3/4 cup Sliced green onions

Preparation

Bring 4 quarts of water to a boil and add pasta. Cook according to package directions.

While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet or pan over medium-high heat.

Add chicken; cook and stir for 6-8 minutes or until chicken is golden brown.

Stir in lemon juice, salt and red & black pepper.

Drain cooked pasta and add to the skillet with the chicken. Toss to coat then stir in green onions.
