1. Arrange buttered bread in lightly greased 9 X 13 glass baking dish.
2. Spread 2 cups grated cheddar cheese over bread layer.
3. Combine 1 dozen slightly beaten eggs, 1 c half and half, 1 tsp salt
4. Pour over bread and cheese layers.
5. Bake at 325 degrees about 45 minutes or until firm in center.
6. This can be prepared the night before serving day, and stored in refrigerator.
