Turkey Meatballs

A low fat meatball served with a creamy white sauce. You could also substitute tomato sauce for a different flavor.

Ingredients

1 1/2 lb Ground turkey
1/2c Bread crumbs
2 Eggs beaten
3/4c Minced onion
1/4c Evaporated fat-free milk
1 tbsp Minced dill
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Cumin
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Ground pepper and salt to taste
SAUCE
2 tsp Paprika
1c Nonfat sour cream
1 tsp Minced garlic
1c Evaporated skim milk
1/2c Water
1tbsp Corn starch
2tbsp Water

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350

Combine all ingredients and shape into 2-inch rounds. Place in a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through. Combine all sauce ingredients except the cornstarch or arrowroot powder and water in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat until smooth, about 5-6 minutes.

Mix together the cornstarch or arrowroot powder and the water. Add to the saucepan and cook about 1-2 more minutes until thickened. Remove the meatballs from the dish and serve with the sauce.
