Applesauce Pancakes

Quick, Healthy and yummy for children

Ingredients

1/2 cup Applesauce

1cup Pancake mix

1 Egg

2 tblsp. Cooking oil

Dash of Cinnamon &/or Nutmeg(optional)

Maple Syrup

Margarine (if desired)

Preparation

In a large mixing bowl, combine Applesauce, pancake mix, egg and cooking oil. Mix until well blended (add more pancake mix if it's too thin, If too thick and more applesauce). Add the spices if desired. On a preheated griddle ladel on the mix and cook until golden brown.

Serve with margarine and syrup.

A very tasty beginning to the day.

Cook's Notes

We make faces for kids by adding raisins or craisins for eyes and nose and precooked sausage for the mouth etc. Instead of applesauce, use other fruit and fruit juices for different flavors.
