creamy chicken and dumplings

I use to hate chicken and dumplings, but now, this is one of my favorite dishes!

Ingredients

2 cans Cream of chicken

2 cans Chicken broth

4 Chicken breasts

4 cups Packed all-purpose flour (give or take)

3 cups Water

Salt to liking

Pepper to liking

Preparation

Combine cream of chicken, chicken broth, and water in pot and bring to a simmer. Cut chicken to desired size and add to pot, let chicken cook until done. Add desired amount of salt and pepper.

Dumplings: Take 2 cups of flour and tower it up. Make a hole in the middle of flour and add 1/3 cup of previously prepared broth. Form together and make a dough. Roll out to your desired thickness of dumplings. Cut into medium sized rectangles and add to chicken broth (bring broth to a boil before adding). Repeat this until you are content with the amount of dumplings. Allow dumplings to cook, and enjoy!

Cook's Notes

For a more traditional taste, cut out the cream of chicken and just add flour to your desired thickness. You can also make your own chicken broth if you like.

This was really good. Only problem is that my company was late so the chicken cooked too long making it dry. Other than that it was pretty good. I had to add a little more broth to the dough...
