Indian Chick Peas

Ingredients

250 Gm canned chick peas

1 c Vegetable oil

1 Ea onion chopped

2 Cm cinnamon stick

4 Ea cloves

2 Ea garlic cloves

2 Cm fresh ginger - chopped

1 Ea green chili pepper - finely chopped

2 t Ground coriander

0.75 c Canned chopped tomatoes

1 t Garam masala

1 t Cilantro - chopped

Preparation

In frying pan, heat oil. Fry onion until golden.

Add cinnamon and cloves. Cook few seconds.

Add garlic, ginger, chili pepper, ground coriander. Cook 5 mins, stirring.

Add tomatoes, with the juice and cook until all liquid evap.

Add chick peas to pan, mixing well and cook 5 mins.

Pour juice of chick peas & simmer for 25 mins or till all liquid gone

Sprinkle with garam masala and garnish with cilantro.
