Crab Cheese Wontons

Contributed By: wendeef
I saw it on a cooking show

Very easy to mix together, does take a long time to fill the wonton wraps though. Kids loved it with sweet & sour sauce. We eat it as a dinner, served with rice and a veggie.

Ingredients

2 cups Cooked crab (or imitation Krab) meat

1 package Cream cheese

1 tsp Soy sauce

1 tsp Worcestshire sauce

1 clove Fresh garlic, minced

1 tsp Green onion, sliced small

2 tsp Red onion, minced

Salt & pepper to taste

Approx. 36 wonton wrappers

3-6 cups Oil (for cooking)

Preparation

Shred crab, mix with cream cheese. Mix in all other ingredients.

Put 1 tsp of filling onto a wonton wrapper and seal.

Cook for 3-6 minutes in hot oil until golden brown on all sides.

We use hot mustard, Yoshida's, soy sauce, or Sweet & Sour for dipping.

This recipe was awesome! These went perfectly with stir-fry veggies and rice with sweet and sour sauce to dip them in. My husband came home from work and thought I had ordered take out! We always get Crab Rangoons when we order Chinese, so this was a pleasant surprise for him when my daughter told him it was all home made and it didn't cost him a penny! Haha. I like the cream cheese to be sweet the way they make them in the restaurant, so I will add some sugar next time and not so much garlic.
