Christmas Breakfast Casserole

This is "make-ahead" breakfast casserole is so delicious! Make it the night before and just pop it in the oven the next morning!

Ingredients

7 slices White bread, crusts removed, and cubed
2 cups (8 oz) shredded cheddar cheese
6 Eggs
3 cups Milk
1 teaspoon Ground mustard
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Pepper
6 Bacon strips, cooked and crumbled

Preparation

In a greased 11x7x2 inch baking dish, combine the bread cubes and cheese. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, mustard, salt, and pepper. Pour over bread and cheese. Top with bacon. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Remove from the refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.

Cook's Notes

Sometimes I use 1 cup cheddar and 1 cup Monterey Jack for a different taste.
