1) Heat oil in a frying pan and cook the bacon.
2) Add the cooked cabbage and mashed potato into the pan and stir until combined
3) Reduce the heat somewhat and cook the whole dish steadily for 15 to 20 minutes or more without stirring it, so that it is set solid, the edges and underside are browned but not stuck and it is cooked right through. The mixture may be turned halfway though cooking if desired. Serve it piping hot.
