1/2 lb Sliced lean beef
2 Green onions sliced into 1" long pieces
15 slices Ginger
1/4 tsp Baking soda (marinade)
1/2 tsp Sugar (marinade)
1-1/2 tsp Cornstarch (marinade)
1-1/2 tsp Soysauce (marinade)
1-1/2 tbsp Water (marinade)
1 tbsp Oil
Broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)
2 tbsp Oyster sauce (for seasoning sauce)
1 tbsp Water (seasoning sauce)
1 tsp Sugar (seasoning sauce)
1/2 tsp Cornstarch (seasoning sauce)
1/2 tsp Sesame oil (seasoning sauce)
Preparation
1. Mix marinade ingredients in medium bowl. Add sliced beef and mix well. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, boil or steam broccoli florets until almost cooked but still has some crunch. Plunge into ice water to stop cooking. Set aside.
3. Mix seasoning sauce ingredients in small bowl. Set aside.
4. Add in 1 tbsp oil to beef mixture and mix well. Stir fry quickly in wok or large skillet over high heat until meat changes color, about 30 seconds. Add green onions and ginger and continue to stir fry quickly over high heat. Next add the broccoli, then the seasoning sauce. Stir fry until sauce thickens and is heated through. Serve with rice.
