I was worried about this one, I'm not really a roast fan especially in crock pot. I followed some of the comments suggestions...if you have a newer crock pot that cooks faster than the older ones, then I recommend cooking overnight on low for ten hours. Then I kept on "warm" for another ten. I used only a 1/4 cup of soy sauce and increased the water to 2 cups. Use 3 cups of water if you want more gravy. It was the most tender, flavoralbe roast I've ever had. Will make again. My husband loved it, and he usually doesn't like anything out of the crockpot.

This was very good, but I do agree the soy sauce should be cut back slightly. I also did water it down a bit. It also doesn't need 24 hours. Overnight is a good recommendation... But the family liked this, even the picky about meat teen. :)

This was the most tender roast I have ever made! HOWEVER!! 1/2 cup of Soy Sauce was WAAAY too much. The roast was extremely salty. Also, I had to keep adding water so the roast wouldn't burn to the bottom of the crock pot. I will definately make this roast again, but my recommendations are to only use 2 TBSP soy sauce and 3 cups water, along with the cream of onion dry soup. This may be true only for upright crockpots as it's more crammed!

My crockpot actually overcooked it at 24 hours... but we didn't get home until 24 hours later so no undoing it! This still was really tasty!! My husband couldn't get enough! Next time I will just cook it for the 20 hours

This recipe is excellent. My crockpot would overcook it if I had it set on low for 24 hours. I cooked it on low overnight, then put it on warm for the remainder of the day. It turned out great!!

This was so yummy! I kept nibbling on it during the day. It was almost gone at dinner time! LOL

I was truly amazed that with the time that this cooks that I didn't end up with a rock hard piece of meat. The meat is tender and very tasty. If there are leftovers I like to use them in shepards pie! Yum twice.
