My Personal Recipie

I've tried many chili recipies but, this is the easiest and tastiest I've eaten.

Ingredients

1 lb Ground Round

2 Links Chorizo

1 Chopped Green pepper

1 Large Red onion Chopped

1 Large can Tomato puree

1 Large can Whole Tomatoes

1 Large can Pinto beans

1 Large can Spicy chile beans

1pkg Caroll Shelby's Brown Bag Chile

2c Water

Preparation

Brown ground round, chorizo (remove from sleeve) and onion in a skillet and drain.

Don't overcook meat as it will simmer for 2 hours.

In an 8qt. pot (or crockpot if preferred) empty cans (all un-drained) of tomatoes, puree, beans. Add the 2C water. (amount of water may be adjusted according to your preference if you like a more soup-like chile).

Add browned meat, onion and the chopped green peppers.

Add the chile mix omitting cayene pepper if you don't want your chile to be too spicy.

Simmer on very low heat for two hours.

Serve hot.

Cook's Notes

I serve this with warm tortillas in place of soda crackers and shredded cheddar cheese to sprinkle on top.
