This is a real easy thing you can make, and more often than not you might have one or more of the ingredients already. It's great for parties but can make for a good meal if you add a side dish or two.

Ingredients
1/2-1 lb Ground or sliced chicken (ground is the easiest, but not every store carries it).
1 package Mixed shredded cheeses (I used a baggie of Kraft that was jack and cheddar, I think)
1 Tub (8oz) fresh salsa.
1 Large bag (as in, not a snack-size bag) of round tortilla chips.
1 Small spoonful of butter (or other cooking agent).
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350.
Brown the chicken in a pan on the stove over medium-high with a small spoonful of butter.
Turn the stove down to low-medium, pour the salsa in with the chicken and stir. Let the chicken sit in the salsa for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
While the chicken is sitting, spread the tortilla chips out on a pizza pan or large cookie sheet. Try to make it so that the chips overlap and there are no gaps between them.
When the chicken is done, spread it out over the chips. Then spread as much of the cheese as you want out over the chips and chicken. Bake in the oven for five minutes or until cheese is melted.
Let it cool for a couple of minutes before eating, and enjoy!
Cook's Notes
Feel free to add whatever you like to nachos. You can use ground beef instead of chicken, or add jalapenos or whatever you want. You can also skip the chicken entirely and just spread the cheese out on the chips and bake-- great for vegetarian friends.
