This cheese cake is definitely a winner! Easy to make and will impress your dinner companions as something really elegant or just a simple, relaxed lunch dessert.

Ingredients
32 oz Cream cheese
½ cup Butter
16 oz Sour cream
1 ¼ teaspoon Vanilla
1 teaspoon Lemon juice
2 tablespoons Corn starch
1 ¼ cup Sugar
5 Eggs
Preparation
Let stand at room temperature then cream:
32 oz cream cheese
½ cup butter
Add:
16 oz sour cream
1 ¼ teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 Tablespoons corn starch
1 ¼ cup sugar
Whip until smooth then add:
5 eggs one at a time
Pour into lightly buttered 10” spring form pan, sit spring form pan in pan of water, about ¼ full and bake until golden brown at 350 for 45 to 60 minutes.
Turn oven off, open oven door and let sit for 1 hour.
Take out of oven and let sit for 2 hours.
Refrigerate for 8 hours
Cook's Notes
Please follow the directions carefully. It is very important that the cheese cake sit on the oven rack with the door open for 1 hour in the pan of water to let it settle. After 1 hour remove the cake from the oven and refrigerate in the spring form pan for 8 hours to chill completely.
You can top the cheese cake when serving with fresh fruits, chocolate or canned fruit filling. Cherry pie filling is always a favorite!
