A Pot of English Tea

Contributed By: mrsaris
Cooking the British Way

Ingredients

1 Tea Kettle
 English Tea or Ceylon Tea
 COLD WATER
 Sugar
 Tea Strainer
 Milk
 Tea cups

Preparation

Bring a Kettle of COLD water, preferably purified mineral water on the Stove.

Have ready a Tea Pot. Pour steaming hot

water in the Teapot and drain.

Measure the Tea if it is loose. Usually you place 1 teaspoon per person plus one for the Pot. If you are using loose-leaf tea, place the Tea Leaves over a strainer on top of the mouth of the Teapot.

Pour Steaming Hot water in each Teacup. Drain.

When the Kettle boils remove from the stove and pour the STEAMING water over the tea strainer and inside the pot.

Serve the Tea.

After you pour the Tea in each Teacup, place sugar and a splash of milk and stir.

Enjoy

Cook's Notes

The English have Tea usually at Four O'Clock. They prefer putting the sugar in first and the milk last. To Brew the perfect Pot of Tea you need to make sure that the water is as fresh and pure and COLD as can be.
