Smoked Salmon & Caramelized Onion Dip

A dip for those who love bold flavors.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cup Chopped onion

1 tbsp Butter, melted

1 tbsp Olive oil

1 (8 oz) package Whipped cream cheese

1/3 cup Mayo

1 tbsp Fresh lemon juice

1/3 cup Sour cream

1 1/2 tbsp Capers, drained

1 tsp Chopped fresh dill

1 (4oz) package Smoked salmon, coarsely chopped

Chips and bread to spread dip

Preparation

Cook onion in butter and olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat 5 min, stirring frequently; cover, and cook 5 min. Uncover, and cook 3 more min or until soft and golden. Set aside.

Beat cream cheese at medium speed with an electric mixer. Stir in mayo and next 4 ing. Fold in caramelized oinion and salmon. Cover and chill.

Serve dip with chips or bread.

Makes 2 1/2 cups of dip for a savory meal starter.
