Tasty treat from West Virginia. Coal miners would take loaves of bread stuffed with pepperoni down into the coal mines for meals. These are a mini mouth-watering version of the original. This is an easy recipe to expand the number of servings. Prep time is mainly waiting on the dough to rise. Actual time of working with the rolls is less than 15 min.

Ingredients
1 pkg. Frozen roll dough (Rich's is best)
1 pillow pkg Sliced pepperoni
1 stick Margarine (optional)
Preparation
Separate and place frozen roll dough on cookie sheet. Let thaw and rise.
Take 3 slices of pepperoni and place in middle of one roll, smush down and wrap dough around pepperoni. Continue till all balls of dough are filled. Let rise again.
Bake at 350 for approx. 9 min. or until rolls are light golden brown. Don't overbake.
Take stick of margarine and rub it over top of hot rolls immediately after they are removed from the oven.
Serve immediately. They can be reheated in the microwave or eaten cool. They never last long enough to be frozen.
Cook's Notes
Rich's Frozen Roll Dough seems to have the best bread flavor.
The rising of the dough is what takes the longest. I make sure I have a warm area so they will rise faster. Sometimes I also cover them w/ damp paper towels to keep the dough from forming a crust as it rises.
One pillow pack of pepperoni will make almost 48 rolls (2 bags frozen rolls). I stick in cheddar cheese in the leftover dough.
