Ingredients

1/4 cup Ground coffee (freshly ground, if possible)
2 tbsp Sugar
1/4 tsp Almond extract
2-1/2 cups Cold water
2 (1-ounce) squares semisweet baking chocolate, chopped
1 cup Half-and-half
1/2 cup Thawed whipped topping

Preparation

1. Place coffee grounds in filter then place in the brew basket of your coffee maker. Pour sugar and almond extract in empty pot of coffee maker. Add water to coffee maker and brew.

2. While coffee brews, microwave chocolate and half-and-half in medium-sized microwavable bowl on high for 1 to 1-1/2 minutes. Stir after 1 minute and again when completely melted.

3. Add the chocolate mixture to the freshly brewed coffee in pot; stir until well blended.

4. Pour into 4 large cups or mugs.

Cook's Notes

Garnish with whipped topping.
