Preheat oven to 375.
Cut the pumpkin in half and microwave it until tender, about 7 minutes. WIth a large spoon, scoop out the flesh and place it in a food processor and process until smooth.
Add sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, salt, egg and milk, and process to combine.
Strain to remove any bits of solid pumpkin.
Line a 9-inch pie plate with the crust. Pour pumpkin mixture into crust and bake until the mixture is set, about 30-40 minutes.
