Cumin Caraway Rounds

Ingredients

3/4 cup Flour

3/4 cup Rye flour

1 tbsp Caraway seed

1/2 tsp Baking powder

1/2 tsp Salt

1/2 tsp Cumin

1/4 tsp Ground coriander

1/4 cup Butter, cut in 4 pieces

1/3 cup Milk

1 Egg white, beaten

Preparation

1. Mix dry ingredients in food processor, add seasoning, and gradually add butter until blended.

2. Add milk until dough forms.

3. Move dough to surface and let rest 5 minutes; roll to 1/8" thick and cut 2" pieces.

4. Place on an ungreased baking sheet and lightly brush with egg white; prick with a fork.

5. Bake at 350F for 15 to 17 minutes or until crisp; cool on wire racks.

Cook's Notes

Makes 40 crackers. May be stored in an airtight container for up to 1 week, or may be stored up to 1 month in the freezer.
