Prepare cornbread:
Add your cornbread mix into a bowl along with the cornmeal and flour. Add the three eggs and mayonaise/miracle whip. Stir together. Add the water until the right consistency to bake.
Preheat oven to 350.
Pour cornbread mix into a nonstick bake pan or a well greased bake pan and cook in oven for 20 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
Prepare meat for stuffing
We usually use the darkmeat from a turkey in this recipe because it is made on thanksgiving with the turkey. If your turkey is not made already, I suggest baking some turkey legs, precut, or the dark meat of a chicken. Season it to your taste and bake at 350 until the juice from the meat runs clear.
Once it is done, cool it in the fridge. Then tear it into small pieces.
Preparing the stuffing
Take your cornbread, premade, and crumble it up into a large baking pan.
Cut up your onion and celery and chop it up in a food processor. It needs to be finely diced. Saute the onion and celery for about 5 minutes in some oil.
Add your sauted onion and celery to the cornbread in the large baking pan.
Add the turkey or chicken pieces to the mix as well.
Add the chicken broth to the mix until the stuffing is really soupy. Stir well.
Bake at 350 for about 20 to 30 minutes, or until a golden brown.
You are now done with your Old fasion cornbread stuffing!!
