Southern Turkey Stuffing Bake

To make this meal an all aroung left over recipe use your left over turkey, cornbread, vegetables according to the recipe. Can use leftover cornmuffins for stuffing mix: just cut into small cubes and bake at 300 for 30 minutes.

Ingredients

1 cup Chopped onions ( 2 medium)

4 slices Bacon (or left over ham), cut into small pieces

4 cups Seasoned cornbread stuffing mix or left over stuffing

1 1/2 cups Water

1 bag Frozen cut broccoli (left over veggies)

1/2 teaspoon Dried thyme leaves

1/2 teaspoon Seasoned salt

1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder

1/8 teaspoon Cayenne pepper

2 Turkey breast tenderloins (left over turkey)

Preparation

1. Heat oven to 350. Spray 11x7 glass baking dish with cooking spray. In kettle, cook onions and bacon over medium high heat for 4 to 5 minutes or until bacon is browned and onions are tender, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.

2. Ad cornbread mix and water, mix well. Still in broccoli. Spread in sprayed baking dish.

3. In small bowl, combine thyme, seasoned salt, garlic powder and ground cayenne pepper. Rub on turkey tenderloins. Arrange over stuffing mixture; press into stuffing slightly. Cover with foil.

4.Bake covered at 350 for hour.

Uncover baking dish; bake an additional 10 to 15 minutes until Turkey is no longer pink in center.

Cut turkey into 8 servings.
