How do you put food on the table for your entire family when you have a screaming baby and hungry siblings? This question was recently posted on the website Rookie Moms, so the Meals Matter Moms quickly compiled some of their favorite tips and recipes.

Maureen Bligh, a registered dietitian and mom of teens relies on the pantry planner available on MealsMatter.org to make sure she always has healthy ingredients on hand, since with teenagers you really never know how many kids you will be feeding on any given night! LeAnne Ruzzamenti, mom of toddler twins falls back on simple side dishes and glasses of milk to make sure her family meals are balanced. On hectic weeknights, Trina Robertson, a registered dietitian and mom of tweens, reaches for her family’s favorite casserole
recipes because they each include foods from nearly all of the food groups.

Using their tips and inspiration, we’ve put together this week’s list of recipes for easy, balanced meals to help your family Eat Better, Eat Together. Start with a family meal of Creamy Pesto and Chicken Pasta, Broccoli and Cheese and Mom’s Baked Apples. Have an answer to “What’s for dinner mom?” all week long when you mix and match Chili Corn Bread Casserole, Cheese and Fruit Kabobs, Light and Lazy Lasagna and Mango Ginger Couscous. Register at MealsMatter.org to add these and other recipes to your personalized family meal plan and shopping list.

“Family Meals Matter” features registered dietitian-approved recipes from the thousands of user-contributed recipes available at the free family-nutrition and meal-planning website, Meals Matter, maintained by registered dietitian moms with Dairy Council of California. Healthy Eating Made Easier™
