Hey Kids, Let’s Cook Dinner!

What’s the latest trend in summer camps for kids? Cooking! A quick Internet search shows that summer culinary camps are on the menu from California to Vermont. Whether you send your kids away or get them involved at home, summer is a great time to get kids cooking dinner.

We selected this week’s recipes with the junior chef in mind. Start with Italian Beef and Cheese Calzones, Raspberry Tossed Salad and Vanilla Frozen Yogurt. Even the youngest culinary explorers will enjoy preparing—and eating—other dishes this week like Scalloped Potato Bake, Last Minute Lasagna, Li’l Cheddar Meat Loaves and Crispy Chicken Fingers. For more on getting kids involved in the kitchen, read our recent blog posting at MealsMatter.org “Hey Kids, Let’s Cook!”
