It’s What’s For Dinner

We almost missed celebrating National Beef Month in May! Beef is an excellent source of protein and a good source of iron, zinc, niacin, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12. Over 29 different cuts, including flank steak, sirloin and even some ground beef, meet the government labeling guidelines for lean. Each three-ounce portion is about the size of a deck of cards, or the palm of your hand.

Without further ado, we’ve compiled nutrient-rich beef entrees and delicious side dishes your whole family will enjoy. Start with a family meal of Calypso Beef Burgers, Cucumber and Tomato Tangy Yogurt Salad and Freckled Lemonade. It’s what’s for dinner the rest of the week with recipes like Baked Beef and Bean Chimichangas, Grilled Fruit, Spaghetti Bolognese, Potato Leek Gratin and Sirloin with Red Wine and Mushroom Sauce.
