Small Plate Perfection

by Meals Matter | about the author 13. December 2010 10:28

One of the hottest restaurant trends is serving several different appetizer-size portions in place of one large entrée. Often called “small plates,” this idea comes from Tapas, or traditional Spanish bar food. Whether at home or out-to-eat, selecting several appetizer-size options can be a delightful change of pace for dinner or a healthy holiday party strategy.

This week, we’ve combined Grilled Salsa Steak Appetizers, Baked Spinach Artichoke Yogurt Dip and Stuffed Portabellas with Gorgonzola and Balsamic-Rosemary Reduction into a family meal that’s small plate perfection. Add this week’s other recipes like Chicken Quesadillas, Spinach Squares, Spanish Tortilla and Baked Pumpkin Bread for a healthy holiday party menu.
